If you are using the SAFARI browser to access your marketing platform inside of your

mobile marketing center, then you may receive an error message like this:

Error: Forbidden

This most likely due to an issue with your Safari's browser setting for how it handles

"Cookies".  Cookies are simply a way for your computer to communicate information

to the website your are visiting via the browser and help websites to "remember" you

via an anonymous ID.  This allows the interaction between a website and its users to

work quicker and better.

So the reason you may not be able to access your Marketing Platform is that our system

doesn't "trust" you since your Safari settings won't allow Cookies to operate on your computer,

and can't "identify" you as a trusted user.

There's 2 ways you can resolve this:

  • Add the login URL of your account to your Bookmarks as a "Favorite" website.  This tells Safari this is a trusted website and allows Cookies for this site only. (recommended)
  • Access your Safari Preferences and depending on your version of Safari, you either need to set your Cookie preferences to "Allow", or to "Never" Block.  (See illustrations below)

Cookies are completely safe and secure in most instances, but there's always exceptions to every rule.  That's why we recommend the first solution above

as you are granting just your Login URL to communicate with your computer via Cookies, and not every site you interact with.

However, the first may or may not work.   You can always use the second option of editing your Safari preferences to utilize all cookies from all sites, log into

your mobile marketing platform, verify it is now working, and then you can always set your Safari preferences back to your original settings.  You should still

be able to successfully access your platform moving forward.  Should you ever get the Error message again, just repeat the steps to "re-activate" the cookies.

If you are using any other browser and get the same Error message, please be sure to check

your browser's Cookies settings to ensure you can Allow cookies to work on your computer

before you submit a support ticket.

If you still are getting an error message after setting your browser to accept Cookies,

then please submit a support ticket so that we can help you.

3. Verify you can access your Mobile Marketing Platform

Regardless of which method you need to use, go back to your login URL and access your account.  Navigate to the Marketing Platform area and verify you can successfully access your campaigns area.  Once you can see that you can access this area, you can always go back to your Safari setting and switch it back to either "Sites I Navigate To" or "From Third Parties and Advertisers".  You should be able to continue to use your mobile marketing platform moving forward.  If you do revert back to your original setting and clear your cookies in the future, you may need to "re-activate" these settings again if you can't maintain access to your Mobile Marketing Platform.
